ABOUT ME
Steven Russell is a Senior VFX Artist who is affiliated with Insomniac Games. Having studied for a BFA in game art and design at Ringling College of Art & Design and then started work within the industry in 2016, he has extensive history with game development. Steven is talented in the development of textures, shaders, VFX emitters, and driving them programmatically. He is particularly skilled in asset creation, documentation, and management, offering leadership while being open-minded towards learning new systems and adapting quickly.
Steven has shown a keen mind towards ensuring artistic vision is preserved, accessibility is considered, and collaboration when working in team-based settings. Ranging from working in VR, AR, and console titles for the PS4 and PS5, Steven has had hands-on with developing for multiple systems, system requirement differences, and specializing in VFX work for games earning awards and critical acclaim.
